I am very excited to be involved in this year’s 2017 edition of Art in the Open – this is the annual event where our beautiful downtown Charlottetown becomes transformed into an interactive gallery. I will be at the piano, along side some of my dear musical friends/colleagues, to perform a work in collaboration with Mille Clarkes and Gerard Clarkes.
SOFT SNOW is a live musical performance and video projection experience taking place during Art In The Open . Art à ciel ouvert. Three scheduled performances at 7pm / 8:45pm / 9:30pm at The Carriage House (behind Beacsonfield Historic House). Each performance is 15 mins.
Music composed by Gerard Clarkes.
Video projection by Millefiore Clarkes.
Performers: Andrea Ellis (piano), Kelsea McLean (soprano), Shannon Scales (soprano), Suzanne Campbell (mezzo soprano), Sam Lantz (flute).Inspired by the poem John Browns Body by Stephen Vincent Benét – SOFT SNOW contemplates the cycle of peace and war, and the emergence of hope after battle.
